In 1997-1999 I was buying one once of gold for 2 days wages working in a sawmill.

2026 it might take me 2 months wages to buy the same ounce of gold.

"Opportunity or ruin" is exactly right, and what separates the two isn't the metal, it's the map. $200 silver isn't a moonshot; it's a fairly ordinary destination for a confirmed bull once you adjust the 1980 high for inflation and let the gold-silver ratio compress. The number is reachable.

The ruin comes from trying to get there without a roadmap, no defined level that confirms the move, none that invalidates it, and no plan for the drawdowns that shake most people out along the way. A target without a method is just a slogan.

That's why being well-guided matters more than being early. The opportunity is real; surviving the volatility long enough to actually collect it is the hard part.
